Martin Summers Presents Research to Kentucky Governor's School for the Arts (GSA)

Martin Summers presented the academic research along with a series of small projects by PLUS-SUM Studio to the students who were participating in the Kentucky Governor's School for the Arts, Architecture Program. This program is led by Mark Richards and introduces exceptional high-school students to a three-week studio experience that reflects what an architectural education will be like. What made this presentation unusual was that the presentation was completed Online due to Covid-19 restrictions, however, due to the recent completion of Jake's Garden, we were all able to meet on-site and experience one of the projects from the presentation firsthand. It was great to be able to take the classroom beyond the screen and actually discuss the physical reality of design decisions with the students.
