Disruptive Continuity and Point of Departure Presented as Part of "Creative Mornings Lexington&

Creative Mornings Lexington invited Mitzi Vernon (Dean of the University of Kentucky College of Design) to present her work regarding form with particular focus on a studio projec

t and process she has exhibited in Lexington. That work focuses on pedagogy within an industrial design studio sequence while she was at Virginia Tech. As an extension of these concepts about form, pedagogy, and iteration, she included work from Martin Summers design studios that take the discussion of form into the territory of performance or performative form - operating at the scale of architecture and landscape.

The entire talk is 40:39 with the segment on Disruptive Continuity and Point of Departure beginning around the 40:25 mark.
